NIMS ICS FS and Incident Safety Officer Classes in Rockton

The Union Twp Fire Company in Rockton will be hosting 2 training classes.
The first class will be a NIMS ICS for the Fire service class that will be held Saturday and Sunday February 20th and 21st. from 08:30 to 4:30 both days. This is a 16 hour course instruction in the command skills necessary to effectively use, deploy, implement, and/or function within a departments ICS. This course includes guidelines and practice applying ICS in various situations. Students completing this course will receive credit for meeting both state and federal requirements for ICS 100 and 200 training. Instructor for the class is Greg Agosti.

The 2nd is an Incident Safety OfficerClass that will be held Saturday April 17th and Sunday April 18th from 08:30 to 4:30 both days. The Incident Safety Officer Course is focused on the role the Safety Officer plays as part of the command staff. The target audience is company officers who are experienced in firefighting safety issues and are familiar with the incident command system, hazardous materials management and related operations. The program provides the student whith the decision making process and skills required to recognize unsafe acts or conditions and taking appropriate corrective actions.
